I’m the managing editor for podcasts at Vermont Public Radio and the host & creator of VPR’s award-winnng show Brave Little State.

 My work occasionally airs on NPR. I’ve also contributed to This American Life, Here and Now, Marketplace, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Grist, North Country Public Radio, The Rumpus and Middlebury Magazine, among others. My reporting efforts have been supported by a 2010 Compton Mentor Fellowship and a 2011 Middlebury Fellowship in Environmental Journalism.

I’m a graduate of Middlebury College, where I studied literature and geography, and hold a Master of Arts degree from the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English.
